i liek it

not the kick really, too FL dumb sounding

but i really like your offbeat synth, nothing ive hread b4, which preset is that?

pretty chill track throughout, nothing really amazing but not bad by a long shot

im gona check out your other tracks

peace out

Tredoran responds:

I've adjusted the kick now. Done some magic with the EQUO in the mixer. Put some more bass in it and tweaked some other knobs. Sounds better now.

Thx for your review ^^

Greetz, Tred

lol

i hate FL slayer, it always sound horribly not like a guitar

nice riff actually, well the first guitar part

i dont like the guitar chord progression, its somthing thats just used in every punk song i hear

im not gona be harsh(never am) as this is clearly just a bordom track

how long you been playing real guitar???

DrassaDX responds:

yeah FL Slayer sucks trying to emulate guitars (nd so does the normal slayer i think.. lol even a real guitar sux if u dont have the right tools)

i know the progression is extremly typical in punk, just testing FL

i been playing for one year, now getting into shred (nd got tendinitis for getting into a 10h practice schedule from a 3h one lol)

hmmm

sounds like some of your bassling notes are offbeat

oh yeah...umm dont use premade drum loops, you should try making your own, ppl look down on that somtimes

this sounds pretty much the same as the other one but yeah

i cant remember the exact setting but you can set it so that all of your notes are perfectly onbeat so you can avoid microscopic offbeat noises

i dotn really like that homer doh doh doh doh part, its just a little annoying

if you actually have any questions on how to do alot of the things i told abuot in my other review, feel free to ask me, cuz i do like helping people get better

SigmaSpore

joshdw responds:

Hmm , well im kinda new to fruity loops, i dont know how to make drum loops :( maybe you could teach me to do that :)
Thanks
Josh

your new to fl, right?

nothing wrong with that(im guessing cuz this is generally the type of music that most people make there first few tims around), but you still have a long ways to go, as do i

first, try looking for some free synth vsts online, they are munch nicer sounding than most of the ones your using

and while im not sure if there are any, some free drum sample packs are life savers, your kicks would be much more powerfull

actually your dnb section in the end isnt bad at all, drums just need to be louder

i suggest looking into EQing, Mastering, Limiting, Compressing, Sidechaining( i dont even know how to do this yet), Sampling, there are a ton of tutorials online on how to do all of these

personally i hate the fl eurotrance thing, it sucks

and so does the lightspeed, thats probly the worst thing of all

so does the bassline thing that it has for starts, there are much better basses and stuff than the stuff fl gives as defaults

you got a ways to go, but keep at it, and youl start making more original and high quality track

in case you check, i dont have any audios on this account yet, but i do have another NG so im not just talking out of my ass xD

peace out SigmaSpore

joshdw responds:

Well thank you for your review :)
Ill keep that in my mind for the future, thank you!
Josh

weird stuff man

very druggy sounding

what are the charecteristics of most minimal tracks, ive never really looked into the genre

i think this sounds real nice, but i dont think most people will apreciate it

when that square comes in, it drowns out alot, id lower the bass end of that on the EQ

strings sound real nice though, which vst?

omg

those intro strings definatly create tension, great job nailing that one man

i always like your fast snare beats, there somthing i never hear in classical music but they fit so well

ide say finish this man, it has alot of potential

put some pianos in this crazyness, im straight up sucker for the keys xD

peace out man, i think thats all the tracks ive been missing out on, hopefully you bring more soon enough

blackattackbitch responds:

I'm glad to know that the strings did succeed in making the song tense.

Oh and the snare beats came from Yoko Shimomura, the composer for the Kingdom Hearts games, I'm surprised not more people use it.

I was trying to think of a way to integrate a piano, but it just didn't fit with the theme of the song, which calls for a lot of legato and fast staccato.

It's funny that this is the last review that you did but the first one I saw, I'll be responding to the others too XD

Glad you liked it.

pretty epic

for hiphop at least, i really am considering getting that miroslav soundfront just to give classical a try, or mabye, classical hardstyle

i wouldnt actually call this hiphop, its really just epic ass rock, the drums really just dont fit the genre, but i would never mark somone down for incorrent genre choice, cuz its personal really

amazing outro with the piano, especially the sweep, i would love to get to the point where i could pull on of those for real

great job man, you impress me every time

off to check your next track

SigmaSpore

blackattackbitch responds:

I see where you're coming from, I haven't listened to one of my old hiphop songs in quite a while, even though 80% of my zune is filled with rap and hiphop lol

But at least it's still something.

Yeah, you should download miroslav just to have it in your library in case you want to use it, it's really a nice sample library for a demo version.

I wish I could pull off those piano sweeps irl too, too bad I'm not nearly as good with the keyboard as I am with my mind hahaha

Thanks for checking this out

ill be using this acount alot more

you know who i am

i love those vocal choirs, definatly epic, very apocalyptic sounding

so far it all pretty much sounds like epic build to an explosion of epicness, but ive yet to hear that...

(man i only have one speaker working so i cant get the fullness of that track, luckily i got good speakers so it still pretty full sounding)

aww no pianos?

yeah this is alot of epic builds but theres no like "warriors final battle and evil god thing apears and seems impossible", i think that would top this off very nicly

other than that, your right this is probly the most epic thing youve made

dude you should try out like an RPG style boss batle track that matches up with this, would be amazing in a flash

i really liked your use of flutes here, they bring a nice calmness to the certain parts that they have

i think it still need a little work, but its definatly sounding amazing, although, is this your final track of it, or is it still in wip process???

peace out untill next time

SigmaSpore

blackattackbitch responds:

Actually this is the final version, the main purpose of this song was to have something to send to some music production libraries, so I wanted to kinda have the same theme throughout.

Hmm, sounds like it's a buildup? That's not good at all, I don't want to have a track that disappoints.

I was thinking of adding a piano at the end, but I didn't want it to end like my previous song Royalty, so I had to scrap that idea.

Funny thing about this track is that it's the first track of this type that I composed without a clear plan of action except for entertainment value. So the name probably should be changed cuz it really doesn't fit too well.

And about the woodwinds, I tried to do something a little different in this track, namely abusing the hell out of the soft instruments, after listening to Entering the Stronghold.

Peace man, I'll be checking out your stuff in a sec

hardstyle is my favorite and if you got any tips on it let me know
